Reflection of Parkinson's Disease: Bob Roberts (OT 537)

Sarah's presentation on her grandfather, Bob Roberts, was extremely interesting since I can relate because my grandfather also has Parkinsons. I was really intrigued about the OT's process with her grandfather and how occupational therapy can make a difference as the disease continues to progress. Unfortunately, my grandfather was non-compliant with OT or PT so he did not receive any benefits or stabilization in symptoms that were affecting him from treatment he recieved. Since my grandfather's diagnosis and experiences with rehab, I have been really interested in the different ways that OT can help and support those diagnosed with PD. I am also interested in how OT's can also help their caregivers and this case study explained the OT's role even more than I'd already learned.
