How does the OTPF influence OT practice?
The OTPF influences occupational therapy practice because it is a guide for occupational therapists to refer to for their evaluations, interventions and outcomes. It creates a more inclusive and well-rounded guide that OT's can use in every setting and with every client. A few different goals of the OTPF are:
- establish a link for occupational therapists
- improve communication between therapists
- give occupational therapists a process to follow
- define the different scopes of practice within OT
